Erectile Dysfunction

A few weeks ago a man walked into my office with his wife and pulled out a list of all the problems he was having (like an actual list on a piece of paper). He began reading out: "headache, abdominal pain, weakness,...." and so on. Eventually his wife walked out and immediately she did he leaned over and said "Doc abeg na d engine need servicing." I didn't understand immediately but the guy quickly explained that he couldn't get IT up. I almost laughed but I behaved myself.
Erectile dysfunction is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. It is a very embarrassing, yet very common problem with men. And it is not a respecter of age, experience or even previous sexual prowess. Previously it was thought that ED only occurred in older men, but more recently we see it in younger men.
The major risk factors associated with ED are lack of exercise, smoking, obesity and even anxiety(about performance in bed).
And so it's not hard to see the things we as men must get rid of to prevent or reduce the incidence of erectile dysfunction. Like I always say, speak to your doctor about your experience and discuss possible solutions. Eat healthy, exercise, avoid smoking and stop worrying. Have a great day!
